Fullscope, the 2009 Microsoft Dynamics (http://www.fullscope.com/?campaign=1009) Manufacturing Partner of the Year, today announced the availability of Fullscope Data Collection Version 2.1. The web-based tool provides the functionality needed to help meet data collection requirements using wireless devices, and allows companies to perform data collection activities with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Process Industries for Microsoft Dynamics AX (http://www.fullscope.com/?campaign=1009).

Fullscope Data Collection gives manufacturers and distributors real-time inventory updates and improved inventory control; helps reduce data keying errors and paperwork; and can improve overall warehouse and operational efficiencies (receiving, picking, cycle counts, stocks outs and back orders).

New and updated functionality in this release includes: Support for catch weight items in all transactions where catch weight is supported in the most current release of Process Industries for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. Expanded look-ups for each transaction and the ability to sort all record views. Support for efficient and timely receipt of formula items, co- and by-products, and unplanned products. An effective process for handling product returns from customers so they can be properly credited. Support for vendor batch details from within Fullscope Data Collection for the most current release of Process Industries for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. The ability to view and update production and batch order operation steps. Support for all bar code types that are predefined in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. "Companies continuously look for ways to reduce manual errors and improve employee productivity, and these are two of the primary benefits from Fullscope Data Collection," said Reddy Beeram, director, product management, for Fullscope. "The latest release also incorporates functionality around catch weight, co- and by-products to address some of our food and beverage and chemical customers' industry-specific challenges."
