Available funds can be withdrawn from your Scottrade Bank account at any time using the methods listed below. Please note that savings and money market accounts are limited to six withdrawals per month.

Write a Check

Checks are available for Scottrade Bank checking and money market accounts and can be issued as payment at any institution that accepts checks.

Use Your ATM/Debit Card

When you withdraw funds using your Scottrade Bank ATM/debit card at a domestic ATM, Scottrade Bank does not charge ATM fees. Scottrade Bank will also reimburse you at the end of each month for any fees charged to your account by another bank or ATM operator.

Withdraw Funds Electronically (ACH)

Funds can be transferred from Scottrade Bank checking, money market and savings accounts to your Scottrade brokerage account or any registered external account.

Wire Funds

Complete a Scottrade Bank Authorization to Wire Funds form and mail or fax the form to your local Scottrade brokerage office to initiate a wire funds withdrawal.

Use Online Bill Pay

Go to the Banking tab of your Scottrade account and click Bill Payment from the left navigation menu to schedule one-time or recurring bill payments from a Scottrade Bank checking or money market account.

Scottrade Bank will not provide cashier's or bank-issued checks.

To transfer funds from a Scottrade Bank account into your associated brokerage account, go to the Banking tab and click Transfer Funds from the left navigation menu. Follow the Knowledge Center instructions for transferring funds.

Per Federal Regulation D, savings and money market accounts are limited to six transfers and withdrawals per monthly statement cycle. Please note that this limit does not apply to deposits or ATM withdrawals.

Scottrade Bank does not issue a charge for cash withdrawals made at any domestic ATM. We will refund all reasonable cash withdrawal fees applied to your account by a domestic U.S. ATM at the end of each statement cycle. The rebate will appear as a lump-sum credit on the same statement that incurred the initial ATM fees. If you close your account before the end of the statement period, you will not receive a refund. Scottrade Bank makes its best effort to identify those ATM fees eligible for refund. In the event that you do not receive a refund, please contact your local Scottrade brokerage branch office. We reserve the right to terminate or limit reimbursements if we observe a pattern of fraud or abusive overuse, and to modify or discontinue the ATM fee refund program at any time.
