Mutual Fund Trading

Modifying/Canceling a Mutual Fund Open Order

Please contact your Scottrade broker if you need to modify or cancel a mutual fund order.

Modifies and cancels must be received by the trading cutoff time on the day you place the order (4 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. ET for the Profunds, CGM, Sequoia, Leuthold and Direxion Fund Families).

Cancellations are subject to the approval of the fund company; therefore, they cannot be guaranteed. When a cancellation is received and placed by Scottrade the order status will reflect "Cancel Pending" on both the original trade and the cancel request. If the cancel is accepted by the fund company the order status will be updated to "Cancel Accepted" if the cancel is rejected by the fund company the order status will be updated to "Cancel Rejected".

Some mutual fund companies transmit trade status once daily, so it is possible that your cancel request will reflect "Cancel Pending" for 24-48 hours.

Investors should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses of mutual fund carefully before investing. A prospectus contains this and other information about the fund and is available through www.scottrade.com or through a Scottrade branch office. The prospectus should be read carefully before investing.
